Who we are
Hope Digital Missions is the public-facing ministry name of Hopeful Disasters, a nonprofit corporation recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Our federal Tax Identification Number (EIN) is 93-2265407.
When you see "Hope Digital Missions" on this website, on our channels, or on a receipt, the legal organization behind it is Hopeful Disasters.
Your donation and your taxes
Contributions to Hopeful Disasters are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. We provide a written acknowledgment for gifts, which you should keep for your records.
No goods or services are provided in exchange for a monetary donation unless we tell you otherwise in writing at the time of the gift. Where something of value is provided — for example, an event registration — we will state the deductible portion.
We are not tax advisors. Whether and how much you may deduct depends on your own circumstances, and we would encourage you to speak with a qualified tax professional.
How gifts are used
Gifts are received and used according to our Donation Policy, which is published on this website. As required for a 501(c)(3), the organization retains ultimate discretion and control over the use of all contributions. Preferences you express about how a gift is used are honored wherever we responsibly can, but they cannot be legally binding restrictions on the organization.
Charitable solicitation
Some states require charitable organizations to register with the state and to include specific disclosures when asking their residents for donations. Where we are registered, those disclosures appear below.
Washington: Hope Digital Missions is registered with the Washington Secretary of State’s Charities Program as required by law. Financial and other information about our purposes, programs, and finances may be obtained by contacting the Washington Secretary of State, toll-free for Washington residents at 1-800-332-4483, or at www.sos.wa.gov/charities.
About our content
The teaching, articles, videos, live streams, and conversations offered through this ministry are provided for spiritual encouragement and education from a Christian perspective. They are shared in good faith and with care, but they are general in nature and are not tailored to any individual’s circumstances.
Nothing on this website or in our online communities is professional medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for licensed counseling or professional care. If you are facing a serious personal, medical, mental-health, or legal situation, please seek qualified professional help.
If you are in crisis
Our Digital Missionaries are ministry volunteers and staff, not emergency responders or licensed clinicians, and our channels are not monitored around the clock. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency number right away. In the United States you can also call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, 24 hours a day.
Church connections
When we help someone find a local church, we are making a personal introduction, not a certification. We share what we know and we try to point people toward healthy, Bible-teaching congregations, but churches we refer to are independent organizations that we do not own, control, employ, supervise, or insure.
We are not responsible for the beliefs, teaching, conduct, or actions of any church, its leaders, or its members. We would encourage anyone to exercise the same wisdom and discernment in visiting a church that they would with any new community.
Online community conduct
Our online communities, including our Discord server, are moderated ministry spaces with their own rules of participation. Views expressed by individual members are their own and do not represent Hope Digital Missions. We reserve the right to remove content or participants that put others at risk or work against the purpose of the community.
